About Ealing Independent Family Practice

The Ealing Independent Family Practice is a private general medical practice offering a full range of services within the West London area. Surgeries are held every working day (see surgery times) and we run our own out of hours emergency service.

We will accept patients from any area who may come on their own request without referral.  We will also visit patients on request.  Our standard visiting fees apply to visits within a four mile radius of the practice.  Those living further away will be subject to a distance and time excess.  Where patients are already registered with an NHS GP they can elect for us to keep this GP informed of their treatment provided they have given us written consent to do so.

The practice was established in 1984 and enlarged in 1992 when Dr. John Tindles practice was acquired, the practice has occupied the present address since 1996.

Consultation is by appointment and normal appointments are approximately half an hour. Further time can be allocated if necessary by prior arrangement.

• family planning contraception and gynaecological services,
• post coital contraception,
• use of the morning after pill,
• pregnancy and childbirth related services,
• diving medicals,
• immigration medicals,
• driving medicals
• health screening programs,
• medico-legal reports,
• lifestyle clinic including treatment of impotence, weight problems (depression) phobias stress and sports injuries.

We also offer an occupational medical advisory service and look after the occupational medical needs of several large and medium sized companies in our area.

Hospitals, specialists, investigations, insurance

Over the years the practice has built up an excellent network of hospitals, specialists, laboratories and imaging centres. We can refer patients into any health care facility whether NHS or Private. Where patients have private medical insurance this may cover the cost of hospital and specialist care, and also the cost of investigations. Most foreign health insurance policies, travel policies and a few specialised British health insurance policies will also cover the cost of general practice fees, but all clients are advised to check with their insurer.
